TULARE COUNTY SHERIFF'S DEPARTMENT COMMUNICATIONS CENTER |
| (559) 733-6211 | 2404 W. BURREL ST. VISALIA, CA 93291 |
| IN AN EMERGENCY, DIAL 9-1-1 |
Here's a look at Channel Three, where units request vehicle registrations, license checks, and local and NCIC wants. Located on the lower left side of the station is the Positron Intelligent Workstation. The system is a computerized telephone console, and allows the operator an almost unlimited number of 'quick dials' and transfer options built in. Above that is the new GPS mapping screen, allowing the dispatcher to see where Deputies and Officers are located. In the center is our CAD (Computer Aided Dispatch) System. We use the ADSI CAD program. On the right is the Motorola radio console. We utilize 4 primary radio channels for Sheriff's Office dispatching, with 8 other channels used by other county agencies readily accessible to each dispatcher. Three identical stations serve as the primary dispatch positions. A fourth station is configured as a Supervisor Station, and the shift supervisor or Duty Officer can monitor all radio and computer traffic.
